Questions, Answered

Buying, smell, winter solidifying, patch tests, the free tester pack and your data.

1.When can I buy it?

Not yet. Sales open only after all five evidence gates pass and our cosmetic manufacturing licence is in place. Join early access to hear first.

2.What’s in the bottle?

One ingredient: oil from fresh Andaman coconut cream, fermented for 16 hours and micron-clarified. Nothing is added: no fragrance, no mineral oil.

3.What does it smell like?

A mild, fresh coconut scent. No smoky copra note and no added perfume, so nothing lingers after you rinse.

4.My oil turned white and solid. Has it gone off?

No. Coconut oil turns solid below about 24 °C, which is normal in winter or air-conditioning. Stand the closed bottle in warm (not hot) water for a few minutes, or warm it in your hands, and it turns clear again.

5.Does it contain monolaurin?

We claim no monolaurin content. Lauric acid and monolaurin are different molecules (the science page explains why). Gate 02 measures monolaurin directly, and we will publish whatever the result shows.

6.Will it help with hair fall, dandruff or regrowth?

We make no such claims. This is a cosmetic pre-wash oil for dry lengths and ends. If hair fall or scalp problems worry you, please see a dermatologist.

7.How do I do a patch test?

Put one drop on the inside of your forearm or behind your ear and leave it for 48 hours. If you see redness, itching or swelling, don’t use it. Keep it away from your eyes, and use it on hair only.

8.Is the tester pack really free?

Yes. The 30 ml tester pack and express cold-pack shipping are free, and we never ask for payment details. In return you log honest Day-7 and Day-14 feedback, and you get a ₹200 voucher for later. Packs ship only once our licence is in place and the Gate 03 safety checks pass. See the tester programme terms.

9.What is the ₹349 kit reservation?

It holds one numbered Batch #001 kit for you. No payment is taken now and you don’t have to buy. We email you when kits open. See the reservation terms.

10.Why isn’t the lab named on the lab data page?

The current lab sheet belongs to our oil supplier, and its terms don’t let us publish the lab’s details. Our own Batch #001 reports will name the lab.

11.How is my data used, and how do I delete it?

Only to contact you about early access, testing and your reservation. No cookies, no trackers, never sold. To delete it, email hello@monolauria.com from the address you used. Full details in the privacy policy.
